The academic community of BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Serpong could not be any prouder to have 191 students who just finished facing the challenges for 36 months by the grade 12 students of BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Serpong from 10th Grade to 12th.
Last Saturday April 26 BIS Serpong held its Commencement Exercises with the theme “A Home For Learning: Nurturing Empathetic Citizens for a More Compassionate Society”. The event was attended by all students, teachers and parents.
This is the fifth batch of students leaving the school after grade 12 and through the years the number have increased. Medals were awarded to students with outstanding achievement in each subject, in each class, and in the whole level. The medal awardees were led by the top three students namely: Nadia Pritta Wibisono, Neira Ardaneshwari and Edwin Ti Ramadan. The event also featured various performances from our talented students and teachers. Ir. Bernard Gunawan, CEO of BINA NUSANTARA, Mr Stephen Wahyudi Santoso, Mr Michael Wijaya Hadipoespito, Mr. Francis Budiraharja Santoso as Managing Directors of BINA NUSANTARA also graced the occasion. To listen to Ms. Veronica Colondam as CEO & Founder of YCAB (Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa) share her experiences and words of encouragement and challenge to the students, for a better Indonesia, was very apt for this year’s theme of empathy and compassion.
A big and hearty congratulations go to students, their parents and most specially the teachers who guided them through the years. May this day mark not the end of a journey, but a starting point to the next phase to reach a glorious future. (FG)
